Hello to all of our friends!

     Just wanted to drop you a note to say Thank You! for a wonderful winter 2010-2011 season – it was a record breaking snowfall for Utah and so many came and enjoyed our area and accommodations.

    After a long and very wet winter and early spring, we seem to finally be entering into sunny days and the joys of warmer weather and the endless outdoor activities it brings.  Late spring allows for more hiking, biking, 4-wheeling, golfing, etc., and as the weather continues to warm we’ll be out enjoying the water activities of Pineview Reservoir, picnicking, fishing, Music in the Mountains and more!

    We are offering an incredible Spring Special valid Memorial Weekend through June 21, 2011 to encourage you to get out and live!  Book two nights at the regular rate and get the 3^rd night free ~ and this is valid for all available properties.

     In addition to the terrific outdoor activities, don’t forget all of the other possibilities in the area and City of Ogden.  The weekend of June 3-5 should be an exceptionally enjoyable one with both the Strings for Strings Concert to be held at Snowcrest Jr. High and the Ogden Music Festival which will be held at North Fork Park in Liberty.  Be sure to check out the details!

    Summertime will be next and Ogden Valley and Moose Hollow are the perfect venue for your next summer outing or family reunion.  We are offering various discounts based on the length of stay so be sure to email or call with any questions ~ we’re always happy to provide a quote and help you with your celebration!  Stay tuned for an update on several local happenings for summer!

     Just a heads up…it’s never too early to book your ski vacation to ensure that you get your favorite property.  We have just responded to a large corporate request for lodging for the Dew Tour 2012 with the dates ranging from 23 Jan 2012 – 15 Feb 2012 so if you are planning on returning to Eden especially during those dates, contact us soon to reserve your property first!

Winter has now come and gone and wow what an amazing 2010-2011 Winter Season it was!  Here are a few statistics to let you know what the mountains were like:

Get to know Ogden Valley...Huntsville, Eden, Liberty. Then book your celebration stay with us at NorthStar Lodgings!

Ogden Valley is nestled in the midst of beautiful Pineview Reservoir, and the communities of Huntsville, Eden, and Liberty.  In winter visitors enjoy some of the best snow on earth at the 3 surrounding ski resorts - Powder Mountain, Snowbasin, and Wolf Mountain.  Snowbasin was home to many of the events at the 2002 winter Olympics, and Powder Mountain is one of the largest ski areas in North America.  Wolf Mountain, with its newly expanded snow-making capabilities, remodeled day lodge, and family friendly atmosphere, is one of the best places to learn to ski and ride.  Our properties are in Eden and we can get you just the right accommodations for your celebration.

Huntsville is home to historic attractions such as the Shooting Star Saloon -the longest continually operating saloon in Utah, and the nearby monastery The Abbey of our Lady of the Holy Trinity.  The monastery sells famous Trappist Creamed Honey in fourteen flavors, nutritious 2-grain cereal (a blend of wheat, oats, and bran that cooks into a healthy and delicious breakfast cereal) and freshly ground peanut butter.

There are many things to do in Eden!  Utah Balloons, operated by Windrider Hot Air, offers hot air balloon rides above Ogden Valley and the Wasatch Mountains. Rides are available year round in addition to during the popular Ogden Valley Balloon Festival in August.  Find a local park and have a picnic or play tennis to heading up the hill just a short drive to do some kite boarding!  Follow us to Eden, in fact, follow us home to NorthStar Lodgings.

In Liberty, you will find beautiful trails, parks and scenery to keep you pleanty busy!  Our lodging is just minutes away. Don't forget to eat!  Wonderful restaurants to choose from throughout Liberty, Eden and Huntsville.

Wolf Creek
Wolf Creek Utah Ski Resort is a recreational haven for winter sports enthusiasts and the perfect place to learn to ski, snowboard, or just have fun! Wolf Creek Utah Ski Resort is known for our well-groomed slopes that are open from late November through the first of April.  
Wolf Creek Utah Ski Resort offers a variety of skill levels to accommodate each skier, and snowboarder. Springtime brings an awakening of green throughout the valley as the snow disappears from the mountain peaks.  This run-off fills the lakes and streams and offers some great boating, fishing and other water fun.  Also time to dust off your hiking boots or your mountain bike and hit the trails!
